Flying was on my bucket-list before buck-list was coined. I fly for the adventure, the skill and the endorphin rush of independence once you leave the ground in flight. I began flying out of Santa Paula Airport in summer of 1974 and for the next two years, I hitched a ride as often as possible; then I started my flight training. My favorite airplane to fly is “Taylor Craft”. I became a part of the Palomar 99s in 1982, but didn’t actually join until ’84. I am here for the camaraderie, the friendships and opportunities of flight. I love the diversity found within this organization while this membership allows me to support aviation and women who want the freedom of flight.
